About the role
The Director Oncology oversees the management and coordination of resources necessary for achieving maximal clinical patient outcomes within Oncology services. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership in the activities of the clinic
- Interpreting hospital and clinic policies to department staff
- Analyzing and resolving worker and work-related problems
- Collaborating with interdepartmental staff persons and allied health care professionals to coordinate the administration of outpatient chemotherapy, intravenous infusion, radiation therapy, and oncology support services
- Maintaining a daily operative awareness and supervising patient care daily
- Ensuring proper professional, safe, quality operations through active participation and development of quality management plan and compliance with inventory within budget constraints to assure uninterrupted services
Responsibilities
As the Director Oncology, you will:
- Coordinate and plan work flow of department consistent with appropriate benchmarks
- Have the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations
- Allocate and direct staffing needs to meet patient, unit and department needs, and collaborate with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met
- Manage performance including: setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognizing, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our commitments using corrective action
- Maintain a daily operative awareness and supervise patient care daily
- Ensure proper professional, safe, quality operations through active participation and development of quality management plan and compliance with inventory within budget constraints to assure uninterrupted services
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare related field
- Have a minimum of five (5) years in Oncology services
Preferred
- Have a Master's degree in Healthcare related field

Pay
The posted compensation range is $54.50 - $81.07 /hour.
Schedule
The schedule is 80 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
