Director of Wealth Market Development
About the role
The Director of Wealth Market Development is responsible for sales strategies and revenue growth through leading a client-facing Wealth Advisory team. This role represents Trustmark Wealth as a senior leader within the company to expand brand recognition and develop market growth strategies and new business opportunities. The Director defines and deploys the wealth planning delivery model internally and externally, designing a scalable, efficient, and profitable business model. This role leads, oversees, and collaborates with other Wealth leadership to pursue thoughtful deliverables and processes for the client experience and business development functions.
Responsibilities
- Cross-train, lead, and develop a team of associates to promote maximum productivity, engagement, and contribution to strategic organizational goals.
- Develop and execute a scalable growth plan to grow Wealth Management AUM and provide comprehensive Wealth services.
- Accountable for overall market sales and revenue goal strategies through acquisition of new clients (internal and external sources) and retention/expansion of the existing client base for Wealth Management solutions.
- Lead the development of the Wealth message and sales strategies to grow Wealth revenue.
- Responsible for recruitment, development, and retention of a high-performing Wealth Advisory team to accomplish growth objectives and high client service.
- Direct oversight of the Advisory team to meet service and activity targets beyond new business production, including internal/external referrals and COI development.
- Ensure pricing discipline and profitability on fiduciary client relationships with business unit managers and explore new business opportunities aligning with Wealth objectives.
- Maintain high visibility within the company to educate and bring brand awareness with professionalism and integrity.
- Serve on assigned Wealth committees.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field and 12 years of Wealth Management sales and service experience; or Graduate Degree in a business-related discipline and 10 years of Wealth Management sales and service experience.
- Proven track record of excellence in sales production and/or management within a wealth management business.
- Sound judgment and ability to make decisions and guide others.
- Exceptional interpersonal, interdepartmental collaboration, and communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and strategic thinking skills.
- Commitment to integrity, fiduciary responsibility, and client-first service.
- Propensity to achieve high client service levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s in Business Administration, Juris Doctorate, or other advanced degree.
- CWS, CFP, CTFA, or CPA certification.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit for long periods and use a computer keyboard/mouse while viewing computer screens.
