About the role

We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and mission-driven Director of Warehousing & Logistics to lead the systems that move millions of pounds of food throughout our region each year. This role is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of warehouse operations, inventory management, transportation and logistics, food safety, quality assurance, and operational support functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for warehouse operations, transportation, inventory management, food safety, and quality assurance.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing operations team while fostering a culture of inclusion, learning, and accountability.
  • Partner across departments to align food acquisition, inventory strategy, distribution, and community impact goals.
  • Utilize data, systems, and continuous improvement practices to strengthen operational performance and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to organizational leadership, planning, and cross-functional initiatives that advance Food Lifeline's mission.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in warehousing, logistics, or related field.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Experience with food safety regulations and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay

Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 annually.
