Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical and VR Site Oversight and Visitation Conduct scheduled and unannounced visits to all clinical affiliate sites, and VR experiences to observe faculty instruction and student clinical performance.Evaluate clinical teaching effectiveness, student engagement, and adherence to program competencies during site visits.Complete standardized site visit documentation including faculty observation reports, student progress notes, and facility assessment forms.Meet with clinical unit charge nurses, nurse managers, and facility coordinators during visits to assess the learning environment and address any concerns.Ensure clinical assignments align with student learning objectives, course level, and NCLEX-RN preparation.Monitor student-to-faculty ratios at each site to ensure compliance with state board of nursing and accreditation standards.Identify and address unsafe practices, unprofessional conduct, or learning environment deficiencies observed during site visits. Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance Ensure clinical program operations comply with the State Board of Nursing regulations, ACEN accreditation standards, and institutional policies.Prepare and maintain clinical documentation required for program approval, accreditation self-studies, and site visits.Track and report clinical hours, student clinical outcomes, and affiliate site data as required by accreditors and regulatory bodies. Minimum Qualifications Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required; Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD in Nursing preferred.Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of employment (or compact license eligibility).Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care or related healthcare setting.Minimum of three (3) years of nursing education experience, including direct supervision of students in clinical settings.Demonstrated experience conducting faculty evaluations or clinical site assessments.Knowledge of NCLEX-RN testing standards and nursing accreditation processes for ACEN. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as a Clinical Coordinator, Director of Nursing Education, or equivalent leadership role.Established relationships with regional healthcare facility educators and nursing leadership.Experience with simulation-based nursing education and debriefing methodologies.Certification in nursing education (CNE) or related specialty, or willingness to achieve it.
