Director of Turnover (Data Centers)
About the role
As Director of Turnover at Jacobs, you'll provide leadership and oversight for turnover operations across multiple large-scale projects and portfolios. You will ensure enterprise-level turnover standards, methodologies, and best practices are followed, engaging leadership teams in the coordination and facilitation of field verification and documentation of systems installed by Construction.
This role involves directing walkdown activities across active construction sites, providing guidance to construction leadership, subcontractor management, and client stakeholders for complex multi-discipline systems. You will collaborate with field Quality and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to testing and documentation requirements, and confirm the completion of pre-commissioning activities such as megger and continuity testing, testing and balancing, chemical cleaning and flushing, passivation, and pressure testing.
You will champion the adoption and optimization of digital platforms for project-related activities, including punchlist management systems, reviews of system testing protocols, and standardization of construction turnover package assembly. In coordination with project controls and construction leadership, you will develop and implement strategic frameworks for the final turnover of facilities, systems, and equipment to CQV teams in accordance with master program schedules.
This role requires establishing strong partnerships with construction and CQV organizations to define logical system and partial system boundaries, facilitating timely installation, construction completion, and turnover activities. You will oversee the interpretation of P&IDs, line diagrams, panel layouts, and CSA drawings, and coordinate with field construction quality leadership to resolve systemic issues identified during system walkdowns, fostering a culture of innovation and problem-solving.
You will implement and standardize enterprise-level turnover programs across multiple sites and regions, ensuring consistency in processes, documentation, and quality standards while adapting to site-specific and regional requirements. This will enable the timely transfer of care, custody, and control of systems to clients.
