Director of Traffic Engineering

About the role

Wooster & Associates is seeking a Director of Traffic Engineering to lead and grow our traffic engineering practice. This is a strategic leadership role combining practice ownership, business development, client and agency relationships, and organizational leadership, reporting directly to firm leadership and playing a key role in shaping the company's long-term growth strategy. This position is ideal for a senior engineering leader who is as comfortable setting practice strategy and growing client relationships as they are ensuring technical excellence across a team's project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic direction, growth targets, and P&L performance of the traffic engineering practice.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the practice's engineers, designers, project managers, and technical staff, including future team leads/managers as the group scales.
• Set and uphold technical standards, quality assurance processes, and a culture of accountability and professional growth across the practice.
• Serve as the firm's senior technical authority for traffic engineering, providing final oversight on complex or high-visibility projects.
