Director of Trade Compliance

WHAT YOU WILL DOSalary Range: $175,000 to $215,000 annually plus bonusLead Cabinetworks Group efforts with the compliance program highly focused on raw material and finished goods suppliers, ensuring that all activities adhere to legal requirements and internal policies. Maintain operational integrity by mitigating compliance risks and promoting ethical practices throughout the organization. Provide effective leadership for the compliance team. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, implement, and manage the trade compliance strategies and programs to ensure organizational compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulationsOversee the development and revision of company policies and procedures to remain aligned with changing laws and regulationsConduct and oversee regular internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standardsManage and coordinate compliance activities with suppliers and departments across Cabinetworks to ensure integration of compliance practicesLead, train, and mentor the compliance team to effectively execute day-to-day activities and support professional developmentServe as the primary point of contact for all regulatory bodies, managing any audits or investigations, and overseeing the resolution of compliance issuesPrepare and present detailed reports on compliance activities and incidents to senior management and relevant committeesStay abreast of industry developments and adjust compliance strategies accordinglyFoster a company-wide culture of compliance and ethical behavior through effective communication, training, and proactive management practices ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 7-10 years of experience in a compliance role, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership position, ideally within a manufacturing industryComprehensive knowledge of the specific regulatory environment pertaining to cabinet manufacturing or wood-related manufacturingProven track record of dealing with regulatory agencies, internal audits, and compliance assessmentsExcellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships both internally and externallyHighly analytical with a strong attention to detailProficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organizationAbility to think strategically with supporting analytical skillsDemonstrated successful leadership, including personnel and organization developmentAbility to travel internationally as needed (5-10 weeks yearly) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Accreditation related to Global Supply Chain CompliancePrevious involvement and established knowledge with U.S. Customs & Boarder ProtectionPossessing a U.S. Customs Broker LicenseUnderstanding of Lacey Act Declarations, HTS Code application, and other material related to customsCritical thinking and cross functional project implementation abilitiesLean Process Experience (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) WHAT WE OFFERAt Cabinetworks, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance, including medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, parental support programs, and company-paid life and disability benefits.
