Director of Therapies Services

This position is incentive eligible. Salary estimate: $96,137.60 - $153,816.00 per year. Factors such as skills, experience, and comparison to current employees may influence the actual salary offered.

About the Role

The Director ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s), including forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. This role fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration, supporting the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with facility objectives.

Responsibilities

• Quality:
  • Cultivate a superior clinical identity by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to standards of care and manage variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and transparency in care provision.
  • Stay abreast of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations; actively pursue efforts to achieve them.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards; develop and implement compliant policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Oversee regular equipment maintenance according to regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Ensure efficient patient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care through volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning.
  • Develop care coordination policies and procedures to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Foster interdisciplinary communication and collaboration; assign staff with appropriate clinical competencies to meet patient needs.
  • Direct nursing practice and unit operations; develop policies, procedures, and nursing standards to assess, meet, and evaluate patient and family needs.

  • Provide leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience.
  • Instill accountability for consistent, positive patient interactions to differentiate the organization as a healthcare leader.
  • Leverage feedback mechanisms to benchmark performance and identify opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction.

  • Develop stakeholder engagement strategies, leverage technology advances, and identify opportunities to drive differentiation and increase volume.
• Finance:
  • Participate in the annual budget process, including input into department revenue, expense forecasts, staffing, and supply/equipment needs.
  • Monitor department budget performance; identify trends and evaluate variances against the established budget.
  • Develop and implement actions to address performance gaps.
  • Ensure effective labor management, including position control, scheduling excellence, productivity management, and premium pay utilization.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure patient care.
  • Manage operating expenses, including supplies and equipment utilization.
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities and implement actions to achieve savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or other approved education plan – Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred
• Master’s Degree – Preferred
• 1+ years of applicable experience – Required
• 3+ years of applicable experience – Preferred
