About the role

The Director of Technical Services - Food Safety is responsible for overseeing all technical services related to food safety within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the implementation of food safety protocols and procedures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and external consultants to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to all departments regarding food safety practices.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to food safety guidelines.
• Stay updated with the latest food safety trends and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in food safety management.
• Proven track record in managing complex projects and teams.
• Experience in working with regulatory bodies and external consultants.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles.
• Experience in developing and implementing food safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
