About the role
The Director of Technical Services - Food Safety is responsible for overseeing all technical services related to food safety within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the implementation of food safety protocols and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and external consultants to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to all departments regarding food safety practices.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to food safety guidelines.
- Stay updated with the latest food safety trends and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in food safety management.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects and teams.
- Experience in working with regulatory bodies and external consultants.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles.
- Experience in developing and implementing food safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
