Director of Surgical Services RN | Executive OR Leadership | Up to $276K + 17.5% Bonus

Position Overview

Executive-level hospital leadership role focused exclusively on Operating Room oversight and surgical services operations
Lead quality initiatives, staffing strategy, operational performance, budgeting, and surgical throughput across a high-acuity surgical department
Oversight of 12 Operating Rooms with advanced robotics and complex specialty service lines
Direct leadership responsibility for approximately 50–55 FTEs plus departmental management leadership
Partner closely with executive surgical leadership, surgeons, anesthesia teams, and interdisciplinary hospital departments

Compensation

Base Salary: $184,683.20 – $276,848.00
Incentive Bonus: Up to 17.5% annually
Relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis

Schedule

Full-time day shift leadership schedule
Rotating weekend responsibilities

Surgical Services Environment

12 Operating Rooms
Advanced robotics platforms including Globus, Mako, Rosa, and DaVinci systems
High-acuity specialty mix including General Surgery, Spine, Orthopedics, Open Heart, and Neuro services
Large interdisciplinary surgical services department with executive operational oversight

Leadership Responsibilities

Oversee surgical services staffing, operational workflows, and departmental performance
Manage budgeting, productivity, and financial performance initiatives
Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Support surgeon relationships and interdisciplinary collaboration
Monitor surgical throughput, staffing efficiencies, and service line growth
Lead and mentor OR leadership and frontline surgical teams

Requirements

Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience
Minimum 1 year of recent Surgical Services leadership experience
Strong experience with OR operations, staffing, and budgeting
Experience leading high-acuity surgical departments strongly preferred
Comfortable collaborating with surgeons and interdisciplinary leadership teams

Master’s Degree preferred
