Director of Supply Chain

For our client, a leader in the Energy & Utilities space, we are seeking a Director of Supply Chain to join their team. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within an Energy & Utilities environment.

Location: Downers Grove, IL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement end-to-end sourcing and materials strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead a global team across strategic sourcing, inventory planning, and materials management
• Establish governance and operating models that adapt to varying business needs
• Develop enterprise commodity strategies to enhance cost, quality, and delivery
• Oversee supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance management
• Drive standardized inventory management practices across multiple sites
• Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on supply chain risks and investments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• Over 10 years of leadership experience in sourcing, materials, or supply chain within complex, global manufacturing environments
• Proven success managing multi-site and multi-business organizations with senior-level accountability
• Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, materials planning, inventory optimization, and supplier management
• Demonstrated capability to achieve improvements in cost, delivery, quality, and working capital

Pay

$210,000 – $235,000 annually
