We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for a manufacturing-focused organization. This role will own procurement, planning, production logistics, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure cost-effective, on-time delivery of products while supporting business growth. The ideal candidate combines deep manufacturing and ERP experience with strong leadership and data-driven decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives, driving improvements in cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Lead procurement, sourcing, and supplier relationship management to secure competitive pricing, mitigate risk, and ensure continuity of supply.
- Oversee demand planning, MRP/ERP processes, production scheduling, and inventory management to optimize flow through manufacturing and distribution.
- Manage logistics and distribution operations, including inbound/outbound transportation, warehousing, and third-party logistics partners.
- Implement and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor supply chain performance (OTIF, inventory turns, lead times, cost-to-serve) and present results to executive leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, process redesign) across supply chain functions to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—operations, engineering, finance, and sales—to ensure material availability supports production plans and customer commitments.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Manage ERP/MRP system configuration and data integrity (preferably Epicor), collaborating with IT for upgrades, integrations, and automation projects.
- Develop contingency and risk mitigation plans, including supplier diversification, safety stock strategy, and crisis response for supply disruptions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role within manufacturing.
- Demonstrated expertise with ERP and MRP systems; hands-on experience with Epicor is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM and/or CSCP strongly preferred.
- Strong background in procurement, supplier management, logistics, and inventory optimization.
- Proven track record of setting and achieving KPIs related to on-time delivery, inventory turns, and cost reductions.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, driving change management, and implementing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of presenting to executive leadership and building consensus.
- Willingness to travel periodically to supplier sites, manufacturing facilities, and logistics partners as needed.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
