About the role

The Director of Student Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Wichita Falls, Texas, oversees a vibrant ministry catering to students in grades 6-12, nurturing a Christ-centered environment for spiritual development. Emphasizing discipleship through relational connections, biblical education, and active participation in church life, this role focuses on cultivating faith, nurturing identities in Christ, and fostering engagement in worship, service, and community-building initiatives. Strengthening intergenerational bonds and enhancing family ministry endeavors are key components within the church community at large.

Responsibilities

- Nurturing a Christ-centered environment for spiritual development among students in grades 6-12. - Fostering relational connections and active participation in church life. - Implementing biblical education programs to support students' spiritual growth. - Cultivating faith and nurturing identities in Christ. - Engaging students in worship, service, and community-building initiatives. - Enhancing intergenerational bonds and family ministry efforts. - Contributing to the enduring impact of the Kingdom of God within the church, community, and beyond.

Requirements

- A deep commitment to First Presbyterian Church of Wichita Falls and its mission. - Experience in leading student ministries or similar roles. - Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with students, families, and staff. - Ability to effectively communicate biblical principles and engage students in meaningful discussions. - Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and executing ministry activities. - Familiarity with contemporary student culture and trends. - A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. - A passion for Christian discipleship and student ministry. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in using technology for ministry purposes. - A track record of successfully leading and managing student ministries.

- Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups. - Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Pay

Schedule
