Main Purpose of Job

Directs the operation of the Somatic Clinic while also providing direct medical care to psychiatric population of the hospital.

POSITION DUTIES

  • Develops, reviews, and enforces Standard Procedures and Departmental Policies in clinical care.
  • Establish clinical best practices, medical guidelines, policies, procedures, standards.
  • Organizes treatment protocols and develops treatment pathways.
  • Provides oversight for The Joint Commission accreditation.
  • Manages quality performance improvement programs and activities to achieve hospital goals and objectives.
  • Identifies and tracks healthcare outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be licensed and currently registered with the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State law.
  • A copy of the current registration must be attached to this application.
  • Certified by an American Medical Association Specialty Board in an area of medical specialization.
