Director of Software Engineering – Windows Drivers

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Software Engineering to lead our Windows Drivers team. As a leader, you will lead the full life cycle of software solutions of a Windows Drivers ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background in Microsoft Windows OS, strong leadership skills, and the ability to execute on a product oriented strategy in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the Windows Drivers product strategy
• Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of Windows Drivers solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, quality assurance, and marketing
• Ensure compliance with Microsoft Windows OS standards and guidelines
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Windows Drivers team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years leading software engineering teams
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality Windows Drivers solutions
• Experience with Microsoft Windows OS and its development tools
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Technical expertise in Windows Driver development
• Experience with C/C++ programming language
• Knowledge of Windows API and driver model
• Experience with Windows Update and driver signing
