Director of Software Engineering - Equities Risk
Responsibilities
Leads multiple technology implementations across workstreams to achieve technology and business objectives
Directly manages multiple areas with strategic transactional focus and accelerating delivery
Provides leadership and direction to teams while frequently overseeing multiple platforms at a high-level and in detail
Acts as the interface with stakeholders and partners, driving consensus across competing objectives
Manages multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations
Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
Requirements, Capabilities, and Skills
- Deep expertise in Java with multi-threaded, high-performance backend development at scale
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and grow multiple engineering teams, setting technical direction, driving architectural standards and developing senior engineers and managers
- Demonstrated track record architecting and delivering complex, large-scale distributed systems, including ownership of end-to-end design, algorithms and workflows
- Proven experience designing and delivering distributed applications, event-driven systems and real-time processing pipelines at enterprise scale
- Ability to partner with senior business stakeholders, product and technology leadership to shape strategy, roadmaps and investment decisions
- Strong track record of organizational influence, including cross-functional leadership, vendor/partner management and driving change at scale
