Director of Softball Operations
About the role
The Director of Softball Operations plays a key role in supporting the program's success by ensuring seamless operations and an elite student-athlete experience. Reporting to the Head Softball Coach, the Director of Softball Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the NCAA Division I Softball program. This role ensures the program operates efficiently, professionally, and in full compliance with NCAA, Conference, and University regulations. The position plays a critical role in supporting competitive success by enabling coaches to focus on athlete development, recruiting strategy, and leadership.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in collegiate or professional athletics, or as a former student-athlete
Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational, communication, and professional writing skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively
Experience coordinating logistics, events, or operations in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Skills
Experience with video production, graphic design, or digital content creation
Experience with NCAA compliance and recruiting processes
Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational systems
Benefits
Compensation, Benefits And Position Details
Pay Range Minimum: $80,004.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum $87,996.00 annual
Other Compensation
Taxable benefits include tickets to UW Intercollegiate home competitions.
- Non-local candidates may be eligible for a moving allowance.
Working Conditions
Frequent evening and weekend work
Requires travel for competitions and recruiting activities
Work is performed in both office and athletic facility environments
Ability to lift and transport equipment as needed for events and travel coordination
