We are seeking an experienced, people-centered Director of Social Services to lead our department and assist residents and families in navigating their care with confidence and support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all social service operations within the facility
• Support residents and families with care planning, transitions, and emotional needs
• Lead and mentor the social services team with clarity, empathy, and solid communication
• Work closely with nursing, therapy, and administration to ensure smooth coordination
• Maintain documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and keep workflows on point
• Create a supportive, uplifting environment for residents, families, and staff

Requirements

• Relevant Social Work degree + state-appropriate licensing/certification
• Strong background in long-term care or a healthcare social services setting
• Leadership skills that blend professionalism with authenticity
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Ability to support families with empathy while staying steady and solution-focused

Qualifications
