Here’s What You’ll Do for Our Residents & Facility: Supervises Staff: Manages, hires, trains, and schedules social work staff and interns.Administrative: Establishes departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement standards & oversees the social services department budget and resource allocation.Enforces Regulations: Ensures the facility complies with federal (CMS), state, and local social service mandates & Serves as the primary department contact during state health inspections and surveysMaintains Documentation: Maintains & audits medical charts to ensure psychosocial documentation meets strict legal standards.Collaboration: Participates in care planning and other meetings, including Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI).Care & Mediation: Steps in resolving severe, complex family grievances or resident crises. Provides supportive care as needed to supplement social work needsCommunity Liaison: Builds relationships with local hospitals, mental health organizations, and community resources to streamline admissions and discharges.
