Responsibilities
- Oversees safeguarding of assets transported to and from Casino Tables, Slots and Cashier departments.
- Enforces Project 21 and Emergency Management programs.
- Safeguards the physical safety of patrons and employees and protects property from illegal activity.
- Detains individuals for probable cause and notifies law enforcement or State authorities.
- Records unusual occurrences and assigns Security personnel accordingly.
- Oversees vehicle damage/theft complaints with the Risk Management Department.
- Formulates and administers operational and budget procedures for the department.
- Trains and oversees the safety and service responsibilities of assigned areas.
- Implements an energy conservation and awareness program.
- Develops and applies Preventive Maintenance programs for all equipment.
- Cross-trains managerial/supervisory staff in all phases of operations.
- Tracks utility and operational costs.
- Supports Consultants & Contract Services and manages construction projects.
- Coordinates maintenance of property vehicles with Transportation.
- Maintains operational control over staff.
- Ensures staff behavior and appearance comply with established policy.
- Handles guests’ problems/complaints effectively and courteously.
- Acts as a role model and encourages others to do the same.
- Maintains attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Qualifications
- College degree in law enforcement or related field preferred.
- Three years supervisory or command experience in law enforcement or security area required.
- Investigative and communication skills essential.
- Knowledge of gaming regulations and company internal controls preferred.
- Valid Louisiana Driver’s license required.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, grip items, stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip and carry heavy loads, run on level surfaces, and up and down stairs.
- Able to listen, solve problems, negotiate, use collaboration skills, give oral and written instructions, work at a fast pace, and in stressful situations.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Able to respond to visual and aural cues.
