Director of Security Engineering

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a security engineering team, guiding standards and budget in the code-to-cloud lifecycle
• Collaborate with the CISO to define strategic security policies and operational plans
• Utilize AI innovations to enhance security practices and engineering processes
• Ensure safe AI-assisted development across the organization
• Act as a true product partner, collaborating closely with product teams
• Engage with executives and customers to address significant security topics
• Transform compliance measures into proactive assurance for customers

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security or software engineering, with 4+ years in a leadership role
• Proven partnership skills with engineering teams
• Experience leveraging AI in security capabilities
• Strong credibility in executive and customer engagements
• Technical expertise in cloud, Kubernetes security, and CI/CD processes

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $186,000 – $256,000 annually
