Director of Sales, Education
About the role
The Director of Sales, Education will serve as the business leader and single point of accountability for Ubique's Education vertical across all routes to market: Commercial Account Management, Direct-to-Customer, Inside Sales, Business Development, and eCommerce.
Responsibilities
Own the Education vertical strategy, annual operating plan, revenue, gross margin, profitability, investment priorities, and execution roadmap across all Ubique routes to market
Lead execution of our Go-to-Market strategy for K-12 and Early Education, from national resellers and specialty dealers to direct buyers and eCommerce
Build and activate new routes to market including specialty education resellers, regional dealers, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), cooperative purchasing contracts, buying groups, and solicitations
Own the bid and solicitation strategy, including identifying, qualifying, and winning RFPs, state contracts, and large district opportunities
Partner with Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Pricing to bring the 2027 classroom assortment to market on time and on plan
Develop the dealer and reseller ecosystem through partner segmentation, onboarding, enablement, and performance management
Provide clear, fact-based visibility to senior leadership on pipeline, performance, risks, and opportunities
Requirements
10 or more years of progressive sales or channel leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership or vertical role
Deep experience in K-12, Early Education, public sector, furniture, contract interiors, or a directly related market
Proven success developing GPO, cooperative purchasing, buying group, dealer, or reseller channels
Working knowledge of public-sector procurement including RFPs, solicitations, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements
Demonstrated ability to own a growth strategy and deliver revenue, margin, and profitability results across multiple channels
Strong financial acumen including P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting
Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment without direct authority over all channel resources
Qualifications
Established relationships within K-12 districts, Early Education networks, specialty education resellers, regional dealers, or cooperative purchasing organizations
Experience launching a new product platform or vertical across multiple channels
Background in classroom furniture, learning-space design, or education product categories
