We are looking for a Director of Sales to join our leadership team at Morningside Elite Management, a leading personal care and memory care community in Laurel, Maryland.
About the role
In accordance with established policies and procedures, this position is expected to lead and direct all aspects of marketing to include taking charge of the sales and marketing efforts to meet or exceed budgeted occupancy goals with the expectation of exceeding monthly and annual goals.
Responsibilities
- Direct all sales and marketing activities to meet and exceed budgeted occupancy goals.
- Schedule, organize, and conduct tours with prospective residents of assisted living and memory care.
- Respond and follow up with all walk-ins, phone-ins, and mail-ins in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Create, plan, and implement events with the Sales and Marketing Team and Program Director to attract prospective residents, current leads, and professionals (e.g., seminars, speakers, themed events, and family nights).
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with residents, families, and professional care providers.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all software programs.
- Participate in weekend call coverage as part of the Manager Rotation unless already scheduled for weekend shifts.
- Secure the required number of budgeted move-ins and achieve net gains each month.
- Treat each inquiry with value and work closely with the Executive Director and Regional Directors in developing and implementing the quarterly marketing plan.
- Create and implement a strong community outreach program to generate referrals and reach sales goals.
- Complete quarterly media planning with the current vendor on time.
- Keep the Executive Director informed of all sales activities daily.
- Maintain a Lead Status Report of move-ins and move-outs weekly.
- Communicate any special needs of incoming residents to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage the use of the sales toolbox and ensure every alternative is considered before closing a lead.
- Stay informed of trends, developments, and techniques in the field that affect the product.
- Understand the needs of seniors and the aging process.
- Maintain and work an active, meaningful waitlist.
- Visit competitors quarterly.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information.
- Interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, residents, and family members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous sales/admission experience in senior living.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or one to two years of experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
