About the role
The Director of Safety oversees all safety initiatives within the Oil, Gas, and Chemical sectors. This includes developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards
- Train employees on safety procedures and best practices
- Oversee emergency response plans and drills
- Collaborate with other departments to improve overall workplace safety
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the Oil, Gas, and Chemical industries
- Proven track record of successfully managing safety programs and initiatives
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry-specific safety standards
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with risk assessment and hazard identification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
