Director of Safety

About the role

The Director of Safety oversees all safety initiatives within the company, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This includes developing and implementing safety policies, conducting regular safety audits, and training employees on safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
• Train employees on safety protocols and emergency response plans
• Collaborate with legal and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Lead safety committees and engage in continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proven track record of successful safety program implementation
• Knowledge of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with safety software and tools
• Passion for creating a safe work environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions

Pay

$80,000 - $100,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
