Director of Respiratory Therapy

A leading hospital in Westchester County is seeking an experienced Director of Respiratory Therapy to lead and oversee all clinical and operational aspects of its Respiratory Therapy Department. Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations, staffing, and performance of the Respiratory Therapy Department
• Leading department policies, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Managing staff recruitment, scheduling, training, competency assessments, and performance evaluations
• Directing equipment management, budgeting, payroll, and departmental reporting
• Collaborating with physicians and leadership to implement new programs, procedures, and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license, NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, and current BLS certification
• Minimum of 6 years of supervisory or leadership experience in respiratory care within a hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy operations, Joint Commission standards, and New York State Department of Health regulations

Pay

$165,000 - $175,000
