Job Summary
Aid the Administrator in admissions processes, including interviews, assessments, and paperwork. Set up new residents in Point Click Care and manage care plans. Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual assessments in Point Click Care. Develop and implement care plans for residents, report to and obtain orders from physicians, and ensure orders are followed.
Responsibilities
- Set up new residents in Point Click Care and manage care plans.
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual assessments in Point Click Care.
- Develop and implement care plans for residents.
- Report to and obtain orders from physicians regarding each resident.
- Ensure all orders are followed and accurate documentation is performed in Point Click Care.
- Ensure compliance with Liberty Senior Living Policies and Procedures as well as State Rules and Regulations for Assisted Living Communities.
- Obtain medication for residents from Long-Term pharmacy and chart on each resident.
- Coordinate resident services with other professionals as ordered by the physician or as assessment and care plan dictate.
- Implement an infection control program, train staff, ensure compliance, and conduct annual reviews.
- Order and maintain medical supplies as necessary with proper accounting program for charging residents for personal items.
- Weekly and monthly assessments of resident as well as taking vital signs, and administering all IM injections.
- Coordinate with families and update families on the status of residents.
- Maintain and supervise medication administration, medication ordering, medication count of controlled substances, and charting for each resident.
- Schedule all staff using Workforce Management and assume and arrange for on-call responsibilities.
- Respond to calls of an emergency nature from resident and/or supervisor on duty as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
- Be reachable at all times by telephone otherwise authorized by the Administrator.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- Qualified as Administrator-in-Charge or Supervisor-in-Charge based on Assisted Living Rules and Regulations.
- Experience in working with geriatric and dementia residents.
- At least 21 years of age and have a valid and clean driver license.
- Willingness to care for geriatric patients and have a genuine concern for their welfare.
- Willingness to delegate, supervise, receive, understand, and follow orders.
- Willingness to work and cooperate well with other nursing staff, other departments, and families and visitors.
- Kindness and respect towards patients, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to use equipment and supplies safely and economically.
- Neat appearance, dress code, and good personal hygiene.
- Knowledge of personnel, department, and Community policies and procedures.
- Attendance at in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
- Completion of online training.
