About the role
The Director of Research will lead and expand research initiatives at the Sleep Disorder Center within the Cleveland Clinic's Neurological Institute. The role requires a highly accomplished and visionary leader with a strong background in research and sleep medicine.
Responsibilities
- Leverage extensive expertise and resources of Cleveland Clinic to develop and implement a strategic research vision.
- Lead and mentor a talented research team at the main campus while collaborating with investigators across Cleveland Clinic.
- Engage in NIH-funded projects, clinical and investigator-initiated trials focused on sleep disorders and their comorbidities.
- Collaborate on translational work targeting conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, and circadian rhythm disturbances.
- Guide research priorities through an understanding of sleep disorders through clinical practice or research.
Requirements
- Holds an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree.
- Proven research experience in sleep medicine.
- Demonstrated record of successful research, leadership, and passion for advancing sleep medicine.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in relevant field.
