About the role
The Director of Research Operations oversees and optimizes the research operations workflow to deliver consistent, high-quality data. This role is responsible for leading programming, fieldwork, vendor management, and QA teams to collaborate in setting, meeting, and improving Knit’s data collection SLAs.
Responsibilities
- Help entirely automate survey programming without errors
- Minimize fieldwork time while maximizing audience reach and data quality
- Minimize QA time while upholding our high data quality standards
- Automate feasibility request workflows and increase accuracy of predictions
- Contribute to product innovation, automation through AI tooling, and adoption of new tools and processes in the project lifecycle
- Operationalize new research capabilities, including expanding international capabilities and supporting advanced analytic techniques
Qualifications
- 7+ years in the insights and market research industry
- Proven track record of building and scaling complex sampling operations for multiple research methodologies
- Proclivity for automation and productization, with a history of innovating and building efficiencies into processes
- Cross-functional experience leading and enabling both internal and external teams on research ops processes
- Deep experience with survey programming across tools like Qualtrics, Decipher, etc.
- Highly effective people operations leader, with experience in process mapping, organizational design, capacity management, staff forecasting, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, conflict resolution, and morale building
