Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 123-bed facility located in Winchester, Massachusetts, is seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Director of Rehabilitation to join our team. With a rich history dating back to 1979, when the Salter Family built us from the ground up, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing services, and long-term care to our patients. Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our therapy team and oversee the development and implementation of our rehabilitation programs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation medicine and a passion for improving the lives of our patients. As a key member of our leadership team, the Director of Rehabilitation will be responsible for ensuring that our rehabilitation services align with the latest clinical guidelines and standards, while promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the rehabilitation department, including therapy staff, aides, and volunteers

  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programs that meet the unique needs of our patients

  • Collaborate with the medical director, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care planning

  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to therapy staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards

  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor program outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and referring physicians to ensure seamless transitions and optimal care

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and research findings to continuously improve our rehabilitation services

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology)

  • Advanced certification in rehabilitation (e.g., CRRN, CCS) or related field

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, with experience in a leadership role

  • Strong clinical and leadership skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills
