About the role

West Delray Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Rehabilitation to lead our therapy department. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all rehabilitation services, mentoring a multidisciplinary therapy team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving exceptional clinical outcomes for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, coordinate, and oversee all rehabilitation services to ensure the highest standards of patient care and operational excellence.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental goals, policies, and procedures in alignment with facility objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as professional standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families to develop and modify individualized rehabilitation plans.
  • Manage therapy department staffing, scheduling, productivity, and resource allocation.
  • Mentor, coach, and support therapists and rehabilitation staff through ongoing education and performance management.
  • Monitor clinical documentation, treatment plans, and patient progress to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion.
  • Lead interdisciplinary team meetings to promote coordinated care and positive patient outcomes.
  • Prepare the department for regulatory surveys and maintain survey readiness at all times.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and departmental performance.
  • Foster strong relationships with referral sources, healthcare partners, physicians, and community organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation or a related field required.
  • Current, active, and unrestricted Florida license as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Minimum of 3 years of rehabilitation experience.
  • At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or hospital preferred.
  • Strong understanding of skilled nursing reimbursement systems, including RUGs, CMI, Medicare, and managed care.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families.
