Director of Rehab

About the role

The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is responsible for managing and supervising the rehabilitation department to meet resident needs. The DOR will achieve specific patient care, employee relations, customer service, and financial objectives through strong leadership and effective management of staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, orient, and train Rehab Department
• Coordinate treatment activity between disciplines and team members
• Aid with the interview process for hiring
• Ensure therapists and therapy assistants are compliant with documentation
• Communicate effectively with administration regarding department programs, goals, objectives, risks, and successes
• Ensure timely and accurate billing of services provided and completion of required documentation and maintain quality of services
• Attends all mandatory meetings and training
• Affirms all patient care activities are performed according to the company policies and procedures
• Contributes to client relations and community education activities

Requirements

• Must have recent SNF experience
• PREFERRED: DOR experience

Qualifications

• Open to all disciplines: PT, OT, PTA, COTA & SLP
