Responsibilities
- Overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of the staff within the Radiology Department.
- Perform operations of x-ray, CT scans, mammography, and all imaging diagnostic equipment within the department, as well as preparation of various types of diagnostic procedures in accordance with recognized safety standards.
- Schedule and prepare patients for exams.
- Perform departmental and clerical duties as needed.
- Demonstrate age-specific competencies in the care of the spectrum of patient populations.
- Prepare films for mailing, scan orders, and enter exams in NovaRad for teleradiology read.
- Retrieve radiologic orders from and/or input related data appropriately into the electronic medical record of patients.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
- Current Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification.
- Modality specific certification in Mammography by AART.
- Current BLS certification (AHA or AHSI).
