Director of Quality Control
Job Summary
Ready to take the helm of a dynamic Quality Control department? We are partnering with a fast-growing life sciences contract manufacturer to recruit a hands-on Director of Quality Control for a 100% on-site position (Monday-Friday with flexible start times). In this high-impact leadership role, you will direct QC Chemistry and Microbiology labs, oversee method transfers, and ensure world-class regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
- Oversee QC Chemistry and Microbiology lab workflows, staffing, and technical troubleshooting.
- Drive analytical method transfers, method validations, and instrument qualifications (IOQ).
- Lead root-cause investigations for deviations, OOS findings, and CAPA implementation.
- Represent the QC department during client audits, site tours, and FDA inspections.
- Mentor and scale a high-performing team focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Required: Degree (B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Microbiology.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
- Preferred: Experience managing third-party contract laboratories.
- Deep understanding of GMP, ISO 13485, QSR, and ICH regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience managing client relationships, external audits, and OOS investigations.
