Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems across U.S. and global operations.
- Led quality initiatives utilizing the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM), ISO standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Manage the daily operations of the Quality Department, including Quality Engineering, supplier quality, and customer quality activities.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain.
- Administer internal quality audits, corrective actions, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
- Monitor and report key quality performance metrics (KPIs/OPIs) and implement improvement plans where needed.
- Oversee Material Review Board (MRB) activities and disposition of nonconforming materials.
- Serve as Management Representative for the Quality Management System.
- Ensure production processes, inspections, and testing meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Serve as a liaison between global operations and local facilities to achieve a standardized "One World, One Quality" approach.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources while driving operational efficiency.
- Promote and support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke (mistake proofing), and 6S workplace organization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
- AQSC Certification (CQE, CQM, or similar) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality engineering, quality management, or manufacturing.
- Previous leadership or management experience within a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF/TS 16949 Quality Management Systems.
- Familiarity with AS9100 is a plus.
- Experience with APQP, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Working knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement tools.
- Experience leading internal audits, supplier quality, and customer quality initiatives.
- Knowledge of MRB processes and nonconforming material disposition.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence continuous improvement efforts.
