About the role

The University of Virginia’s Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging seeks a strategic, analytical, and collaborative leader to serve as Director of Quality Assurance & Clinical Projects. This role provides oversight of quality assurance initiatives and clinical operational projects that promote excellence in patient care, patient safety, and process improvement across the Department and Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Leading quality assurance programs
  • Oversight of complex project portfolios
  • Supporting clinical operations improvement efforts
  • Delivering data-driven best practices that inform decision-making and optimize outcomes
  • Ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance standards
  • Strengthening quality infrastructure
  • Advancing continuous improvement efforts across the organization

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and utilize data reporting and analytics
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive implementation of solutions
  • Manage multiple clinical and operational projects of varying size and complexity
  • Ensure alignment with departmental and Medical Center goals

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate specialty required
  • Experience: 4+ years of relevant professional experience required

Skills

  • Knowledge of healthcare quality assurance frameworks, regulatory standards, and benchmarking practices
  • Critical thinking capabilities needed to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize complex clinical, operational, and performance data
  • Interpersonal and communication skills that build effective partnerships with clinical and administrative leadership

Benefits

This is an exempt-level, benefited position. Salary will be $115,000-125,000 commensurate with education and experience.

$115,000-125,000 commensurate with education and experience

Schedule

Hybrid schedule on grounds per week, with additional on-site presence as needed, in accordance with UVA’s remote work guidelines
