Director of Quality and Product Safety

About the role

The Director of Quality and Product Safety will lead Sensient Agricultural Ingredients Division in developing, implementing, measuring, and maintaining quality and food safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead through change and champion continuous improvement efforts.
• Educate, mentor, and train employees on the quality management system.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and standards ensuring raw materials, processes, and finished products meet quality standards.
• Oversee the customer complaint process and ensure timely investigation and closure of complaints.
• Review Corrective Action Plan (CAPA) and close quality inquiries in CRM for all Natural Ingredients units.
• Champion BRC compliance and foster a culture of food safety across all Natural Ingredients locations.
• Alert and provide counsel to the management team on technical, quality, and food safety matters.

Requirements

• Preferably 7-10 years of experience in a leadership position within a Quality Assurance/Food Safety/Regulatory environment within the Food and/or Flavor manufacturing industry.
• Experience working in a large international manufacturing environment preferred.
• Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) certification and implementation experience preferred.
• Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead through influence with multiple levels of leadership.
• A minimum of a four-year equivalent degree in chemistry, microbiology, food science, or other related technical degree preferred, with a Masters degree preferred.

Qualifications

Benefits

Comprehensive benefits package including salary range of $190,000 - $240,000, depending on qualifications and experience, along with a competitive benefits program.

Pay

$190,000 - $240,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

Full-time, 5 days per week.
