Director of Quality and Compliance

We are looking for a Director of Quality and Compliance to lead our quality improvement and regulatory compliance programs. You will make sure our facility follows all federal, state, and local healthcare laws. Proactively works to prevent situations that can result in losses or liability and help us give safe and high-quality care to our patients. Oversee audits, track changing healthcare laws, and fix any compliance issuesCreate and run programs to measure and boost patient care quality and safetyTrain, lead, and support the quality and compliance teamFind clinical risks early and make plans to stop themLead visits and surveys from groups like The Joint Commission or state regulatorsMaintains all Quality data for the organizationShare safety data and updates with hospital leadershipResponsible for identifying risks of the hospital as a means to reduce injury to patients, staff, and visitorsWork proactively and reactively to either prevent incident or to minimize the damages following an eventResponsible for reviewing any changes in legislation and regulations impacting the field of healthcareAssists in the development of risk management training programsProvide input on clinical and quality issues and how the organization can make strong cases for improvement in areas such as infections, mitigation of errors, and improved safety culture Requirements Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related fieldMinimum three (3) years of work in healthcare quality, risk management, or complianceStrong knowledge of HIPAA, CMS rules, and patient safety standardsA current nursing license (RN) or certifications like CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) or CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance) Benefits A full benefits package is available the first of the month following 30 days of employment!
