Role & Responsibilities Serve as the senior-most PR lead on client accounts, providing strategic counsel to C-suite executives and founding teams of frontier technology companiesDevelop overarching PR strategies that align with business objectives, funding milestones, product launches, and long-term brand positioning goalsLead high-stakes communications initiatives including funding announcements, M&A activity, crisis management, and major product launchesBuild and maintain relationships with top-tier media, including editors and senior reporters at leading technology, business, and policy publicationsOversee account teams of varying sizes (Account Supervisors, Account Managers, Senior Account Executives) ensuring quality delivery and professional developmentCraft and refine complex messaging and positioning for highly technical products and innovations, making them accessible to diverse audiences such as customers, engineering talent, policymakers, and investors.Identify and secure speaking opportunities, award submissions, and thought leadership platforms for client executivesLead new business development efforts including pitch strategy, proposal development, and client presentationsMentor and develop PR talent across the agency, setting standards for excellence and fostering a culture of strategic thinkingMonitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and media environment to proactively advise clients on opportunities and risksManage client relationships at the executive level, serving as a trusted advisor and escalation pointContribute to agency growth through thought leadership, industry participation, and representing HAUS in the market Qualifications 8+ years of public relations experience with at least 3-5 years in a director or senior leadership role at a PR agencyExtensive experience developing and executing PR strategies for B2B technology companies, with deep expertise in frontier tech sectors (AI, quantum computing, biotech, robotics, etc.)Proven track record managing complex, high-stakes communications including funding announcements, crisis situations, and strategic pivotsEstablished network of senior-level media relationships across technology, business, and vertical trade publicationsDemonstrated success leading and developing PR teams, with strong mentorship and people management skillsExceptional strategic thinking abilities with experience translating business goals into communications strategiesOutstanding writing and communication skills across all formats and audiencesExperience advising C-level executives and boards on communications strategyStrong understanding of the startup ecosystem, funding landscape, and venture capital dynamicsProven ability to manage multiple accounts and stakeholders while maintaining strategic oversightTrack record contributing to new business development and agency growthMust love deep tech Preferences Experience working with companies through multiple funding stages, acquisitions, or IPOsRelationships with venture capital firms and startup ecosystem influencersBackground in technology journalism or technical subject matter expertiseExperience managing crisis communications and sensitive corporate situationsTrack record of building executive profiles and securing high-impact thought leadership placementsUnderstanding of emerging technology trends and ability to identify market opportunitiesPrevious experience at a boutique, specialist, or fast-growth PR agencySpeaking experience or published thought leadership in PR or technology sectors Salary Range $145,000 - 165,000 Location This is a remote rolePreference will be given to candidates located in major tech hubs including: New York, Boston, DC, Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.
