Responsibilities
- Develop a full understanding of the regulations governing joint insurance funds in the State of New Jersey.
- Identify all markets and other alternative risk mechanisms for the placement of public entity business.
- Understand and incorporate procedures that are required by alternative risk placements in the servicing of new and existing business.
- Be proficient in the knowledge of public entity insurance so to identify risk exposures and applicable coverages.
- Absorb and prepare marketing and underwriting data and condense material into excel worksheets as required by carriers.
- Review quotations, policies, endorsements and audits for accuracy.
- Meet established time frames of reporting as required by the State regulations governing joint insurance funds.
- Assist in the compilation of administrative services to the joint insurance fund in accordance with State regulations.
- Delegate to support staff specific assignments and monitor for thoroughness and completion within given timeframes.
- Absorb and assist support staff and producers with any service related matters.
- Attend meetings as required by the profit center manager.
Requirements
- Must have a current a valid NJ Property & Casualty insurance license.
- High School certificate.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of public entity insurance experience or equivalent property and casualty experience.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional customer relation skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Prior experience in a supervisory or management position.
Skills
- Licenses & Certifications: Current NJ Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of public entity insurance experience or equivalent property and casualty experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional customer relation skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Management Experience: Prior experience in a supervisory or management position.
