Primary Purpose
The Director of Project Delivery serves as a senior leader of the Project Delivery Division, providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and organizational leadership for the Division’s project execution functions. This role is responsible for establishing and advancing scalable delivery practices, governance frameworks, resource management strategies, and performance standards that ensure consistent, high-quality execution across the organization’s federal and commercial contracts.
Requirements
- Active Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification with 10+ years of certification history
- Bachelor’s degree in a health, technical, or management field (such as health informatics, public health, information systems, computer science, or business administration)
- Expert knowledge of project management principles and practices, including experience leading large federal contracting programs with responsibility for budget, scope, schedule, and delivery performance
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide high performing cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience managing delivery organizations in a federal consulting environment
- Extensive experience in Federal government contracting
- Ability to make difficult performance decisions and exercise clear decision authority and ownership of outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a health, technical, or management field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience managing delivery in a federal consulting environment for CDC, CMS, or federal healthcare IT programs
- Experience with Business Unit Profit & Loss accountability and demonstrated success with organic project growth
- Experience scaling Project Management Office or portfolio governance functions including leading or supporting the adoption of Agile delivery, process maturity, and cybersecurity governance frameworks such as SAFe, CMMI, CMMC, and related standards
