Director of Programming

About the role

The Director of Programming oversees all programming initiatives, ensuring they align with the organization’s strategic goals and enhance community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive programming strategies that meet community needs and support organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with staff and external partners to plan and execute events, workshops, and other programs.
• Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for programming activities.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including funders, volunteers, and community members.

Requirements

• A degree in a relevant field such as social work, education, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in event planning, program management, or a similar field.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of successfully managing and growing programming initiatives.
• Experience working with diverse communities and understanding cultural sensitivity.
• Knowledge of grant writing and fundraising strategies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
