Key Responsibilities

  • Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of three project managers distributed across Texas and California offices
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular 1:1s and reviews, and create individual development plans for each PM
  • Create a culture of accountability, client focus, and continuous improvement across the team
  • Recruit and onboard additional PM talent as the team and client portfolio grow
  • Own on-time delivery performance across the PM team, establishing clear metrics, tracking mechanisms, and accountability structures to consistently meet client SLAs
  • Identify patterns in missed or at-risk SLAs and lead root cause analysis to drive systemic improvements
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle for client-facing engagements including hardware deployments, software implementations, low voltage/structured cabling installations, and managed IT services
  • Provide direct support to PMs as needed for high-risk, high-complexity, or high-priority client projects
  • Maintain active projects’ statuses in project dashboards at all times, with a weekly project health report delivered to the COO

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in a direct people management role
  • Demonstrated track record of improving SLA performance and building or refining project delivery processes
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and navigating dependencies across departments
  • Proficiency with project management tools; experience with Zoho Desk or similar platforms a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across a distributed team
  • Ability to travel between Texas and California offices as needed
