For our client, a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space, we are seeking a Director of Principal & Major Gifts to drive marketing initiatives focused on growth, customer acquisition, brand performance, and measurable demand creation. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a mission-driven environment.
About the role
You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead Principal and Major Gifts strategy through managers and relationship managers
- Provide thought leadership on complex gift strategies and donor investments
- Develop leadership skills in team members by coaching and professional development
- Utilize fundraising analytics to inform strategic decisions and resource allocation
- Create personalized donor engagement strategies to deepen supporter relationships
- Oversee donor experiences and high-impact engagement events to inspire investment
- Act as a trusted ambassador to communicate the company’s vision and funding opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 15 years of expertise in principal and major gift fundraising strategy
- Experience managing multiple leadership layers
- Strong financial acumen and revenue forecasting abilities
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills
- Demonstrated success leading organizational change
- Ability to build partnerships across complex organizations
- Proficiency with donor CRM systems and fundraising analytics
- Certification in fundraising, philanthropy, or related fields

Pay
$187,310 – $220,082 annually
