The Director of Prevention and Health Promotion is responsible for overseeing initiatives aimed at improving public health outcomes in Queen Anne's County. This position requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of public health policies, and experience in program management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent diseases and promote healthy behaviors among community members.
  • Oversee the coordination of health promotion programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with local government agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations to enhance health services.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of health promotion programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on health promotion activities and outcomes.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in public health, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with grant writing and securing funding for health promotion initiatives.
