Responsibilities
- Establishes goals and objectives that support overall strategic plans of the facility/Baptist Health System
- Develops and manages the annual department operating and capital budgets
- Directs daily operations of assigned department/s
- Directs performance of staff
- Maintains objectivity in decision making, utilizing facts to support decisions
- Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System
- Manages to eliminate boundaries to achieve integrated, efficient and quality service
- Achieves ongoing compliance with all regulatory agencies
- Serves as a resource to employees and customers as demonstrated by visibility and knowledge of issues
- Demonstrates flexibility in response to change
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School Graduate
- Prior to start: 5 years in healthcare field
- Prior to start: 10 years of supervisory or management experience in hospital of over 125 beds, or similar experience
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred Experience: JCAHO and Life Safety Code experience. Knowledge of State Hospital licensing standards
- Required Certifications/Licenses: None
- Prior to start: Professional Engineering Certification (PE) of Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM)
- Required Courses/Completions: None
