Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to build strong referral networks with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the facility at conferences, community events, and professional associations to increase visibility and strengthen partnerships.
- Oversee and manage the admissions team to ensure an efficient, patient-centered intake process.
- Monitor inquiry and admissions data, analyze trends, and report outcomes to senior leadership.
- Ensure admissions processes comply with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
- Train and mentor outreach and admissions staff in effective communication, referral development, and intake procedures.
- Collaborate with clinical and medical leadership to align outreach messaging with program offerings and treatment capabilities.
- Manage marketing materials, referral communications, and outreach campaigns in coordination with communications or marketing teams.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and families, ensuring clarity in financial and program expectations during admissions.
- Contribute to strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives through admissions and outreach insights.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, marketing, social work, counseling, or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in healthcare outreach, admissions, or business development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or related healthcare settings strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in building referral networks and increasing patient admissions.
- Knowledge of payer systems, insurance verification, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with ability to motivate and mentor staff.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking with ability to analyze data and adjust outreach and admissions strategies accordingly.
- Knowledge of addiction treatment models, healthcare systems, and community resources.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, admissions software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Customer service orientation and cultural sensitivity in working with patients and families.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Frequent travel within the community to meet with referral partners, attend events, and represent the facility.
- Regular sitting, standing, walking, and use of computers and telephones.
- Occasional lifting of materials, marketing supplies, or equipment (up to 25 lbs).
- Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends, based on outreach and admissions needs.
- Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability, resilience, and effective stress management.
