Job Summary
The Director of Operations leads and manages the operations function including production and activities from production planning to shipment. He/she uses materials management skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices, company policies, procedures, tools, and business disciplines within the organization.
Essential Job Duties
- Drives and supervises optimal balance of service to cost and profitability.
- Monitors and reports results.
- Maintains inventory at acceptable levels.
- Ensures material availability.
- Manage multi-shift 24/6 operation
Other Job Duties
- Works with the organization to implement corporate process requirements, improve yields, and provide best-in-class manufacturing expertise.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum prior experience: 10 years’ direct, hands-on manufacturing process or engineering and materials management experience in the high-tech sector.
- Significant experience in supporting materials from an IT and Oracle perspective.
- Strong background in reflow, wave soldering, all SMT processes and related equipment, through-hole and press-fit technology, and process development, with the ability to serve as a lead for the manufacturing operation.
- Adept with leading fast paced, multi-faceted teams.
- Self-starter, demonstrates initiative and commitment, able to influence all levels of leadership.
- Excellent organizational and negotiation skills, strong analytical capabilities.
- Prowess with Office products and software, Oracle ERP applications.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong time management skills.
- Experience using statistical tools.
- Project Management expertise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use Six Sigma/Lean/statistical tools is required.
Minimum Education
Generally requires B.Sc. in a related engineering discipline.
Prior Experience
