Director of Operations

About the role

We are hiring a Director of Operations to build the structure, visibility, and accountability needed for RealCraft to scale successfully without losing the craftsmanship, quality, and culture that set us apart.

Responsibilities

• Own production scheduling, throughput, and floor efficiency across all active orders
• Serve as the operational connective tissue between production, sales, customer excellence, and design
• Own hiring, disciplinary action, and termination decisions for production and warehouse staff
• Track and report on delivery performance against client commitments

Requirements

• 3+ years of operations leadership experience in a manufacturing, custom production, or craft-driven environment
• Proven track record of building or strengthening operational systems — scheduling, reporting, escalation, and accountability
• Data fluency: you track what matters, surface it clearly, and use it to make decisions
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop people
• Strong ownership mentality

Qualifications

• Experience in millwork, cabinetry, custom woodworking, or a similarly craft-driven manufacturing environment
• Comfort with supply chain risk management and vendor relationship oversight
• Experience working directly with a founder or owner-led company
• Familiarity with production management software (Trello, Excel)

Skills

• Strong communicator: direct, clear, and equally effective with floor staff and executive leadership

Pay

Salary: $115,000 – $125,000, commensurate with experience
