Director of Operations
About the role
The ideal candidate brings demonstrated success building and scaling systems and processes that support effective, sustainable operations in a school, nonprofit, or corporate environment. This leader has a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams and is comfortable operating at the governance level, with experience reporting to and partnering closely with a board of trustees or directors.
Responsibilities
- Manage Registrar and Admin Roles to ensure record compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Serve as primary contact for neighbors concerning the school grounds.
- Promote safety, security, and effective emergency planning.
- Maintain accreditation and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Manage a team consisting of Admissions, Administrative, Security, Maintenance, Janitorial, and Technical roles both employed and contracted.
- Oversee Fleet Operations for School owned vehicles.
- Support emergent maintenance needs.
- Conduct facility safety walks.
- Manage Facility Shut-down, and emergency communications protocol.
- Ensure Generator operation and maintenance.
- Manage technology execution for the school.
- Direct support and improvement efforts.
- Responsible for core systems and management.
- Manage logistics, safety, and security relating to athletics, field trips, and events.
- Lead planning discussions for annual calendars and key events such as: Graduation, Memorial Tournaments, and key trips.
Requirements
A background in business, finance, or a related discipline is valued, though equivalent professional experience and demonstrated financial acumen are equally important.
